Expo Reviews:
VegNews Magazine:
"...they have built local awareness and organized the ultra-successful NY’s Capital Region Vegetarian Expo. This year, the one-day show attracted 3,000 attendees and 100 vendors, and was buzzing from start to close. Held in downtown Saratoga Springs, a quaint, picturesque town approximately 30 minutes north of Albany, the expo featured veggie food companies (with lots of samples!), animal sanctuaries, non-profits, vegan bakeries, and more." Nick Reisman, of the PostStar published a story on his experience at the Expo:
"The blossoming variety of food marketed toward vegan and vegetarians is evidence that the lifestyle is becoming more prevalent, said Dave Lajeunesse, one of the organizers of the event. The estimated 4,000 people who were expected to attend the event come primarily because they care about animal rights, protecting the environment and eating well, Lajeunesse said." Read more...
HAVE, Inc.:
"It was a fantastic day of meeting lots of people with common interests in eating healthy, plant based diets, and interest in animal rights and protection. The event also offered some truly great speakers and presenters, who offered so much expertise and practical knowledge about healthy eating, healthy living, and compassionate living as well." "The Albany Vegetarian Network has done it again! Their 2008 NY Capital Region Vegetarian expo was absolutely wonderful and a huge success! On Friday, Frank and I attended the Speaker Recognition dinner (vegan, of course) held at the Saratoga Springs City Center, and on Saturday we enjoyed our 2nd annual Vegetarian Expo." Read more...
What others had to say about the second Expo:
We were SO impressed with all the careful planning and thoughtful details surrounding the entire time. Starting with [the speaker recognition] dinner! You clearly gave it all a lot of thought and your care and passion over what you do came through so strongly. I am afraid you have started something that will do nothing but keep growing and we feel so fortunate having been a part since the beginning.
I wanted to thank you for your hard work, kindness, and generosity. Your event was outstanding! And I am honored to be part of it.
Thank you so much for your tremendous efforts to make the Veg Expo a truly
exceptional event - beautifully organized to every last detail.
